Nymbot Press Kit and Brand Assets

Last Updated: September 15th, 2026

Here you will find the Nymbot brand assets, the guidelines for using them, and what you need to know about permission. Nymbot Brand Assets means the Nymbot word mark, the Nymbot wordmark and app icon, and the other artwork and design elements associated with Nymbot.

The apps themselves are free software under the AGPL-3.0 and you can do a great deal with them. The trademarks are separate from the code, and the guidelines below are about those.

Writing about Nymbot? The press kit has the boilerplate, the fast facts, the screenshots and the launch announcement.

Press kit

Everything a story about Nymbot needs in one place: the boilerplate, the facts worth checking against, the assets, and the announcement itself. Journalism, reviews and commentary need no permission from us — take what you need.

Boilerplate

Three lengths, cleared for use exactly as written. If you would rather write your own, everything in them is sourced from the knowledge base.

One line

Nymbot is a private AI assistant with no account and no subscription: every message is end-to-end encrypted, and replies are paid for in Bitcoin a message at a time.

Short

Nymbot is an AI assistant built on Nostr, an open protocol nobody owns. There is no account and no email address: an identity is a keypair generated on the device, and that key is the history and the balance too. Questions and answers travel as end-to-end encrypted gift wraps with a post-quantum layer over the classical one, replies are bought over the Bitcoin Lightning Network rather than by subscription, and anonymous mode lets the service charge for a reply it cannot attribute to anyone.

Full

Nymbot is a private AI assistant built on Nostr, an open protocol nobody owns. There is no sign-up: a keypair is generated on the device, or an existing Nostr key is brought in, and that key is the identity, the conversation history and the credit balance. Every message is end-to-end encrypted as a gift-wrapped Nostr event, with an ML-KEM layer alongside the classical exchange so that traffic recorded today survives a future quantum computer. Replies are paid for in Bitcoin over Lightning, a message at a time, with ten free replies a day and no subscription; in anonymous mode the conversation moves onto a throwaway key and the credits move with it as blind vouchers, so the service can bill a message without learning whose it is. It routes across the frontier models, works inside a connected git repository, and runs as a web app and as native Android and iOS apps. Nymbot is licensed under the AGPL-3.0 and developed by 21 Million LLC. Private. Paid in Bitcoin. Yours alone.

Fast facts

FactDetail
NameNymbot. One word, capital N.
What it isAn end-to-end encrypted AI assistant with no accounts, built on Nostr, with replies paid for in Bitcoin over Lightning.
Developer21 Million LLC
PlatformsWeb app (PWA) at nymbot.ai/app; Android on Google Play and Zapstore; iOS builds from source. Also built into Nymchat.
PriceTen free replies a day. Beyond that, credits bought over Lightning: 10 sats a standard reply, 100 sats a Pro credit. No subscription, no advertising, no data sold.
LicenseAGPL-3.0. The web app and the Flutter app for Android and iOS are both published.
AccountsNone. An identity is a Nostr keypair generated on the device, or one you already have.
ModelsAuto-routed by default; a specific frontier model can be pinned. Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, Kimi, Qwen and MiniMax models are in the catalog, which moves as models ship and retire.
EncryptionNIP-17 gift wraps over NIP-44, with an ML-KEM layer combined with the classical exchange — hybrid, so both have to be broken.
AnonymityAnonymous mode moves the conversation to a throwaway key and carries credits across as Chaumian blind vouchers, so the bill cannot be tied to a nym.

The five things worth knowing

What we do not claim

These belong in an accurate story as much as the rest:

Screenshots and video

Every screenshot below is a real capture of the running app, and every one of them is free to use in coverage of Nymbot. The wordmark, app icon and social card are in Brand assets below.

The announcement

The launch announcement is published in full, in every language this site is published in: Nymbot launches an AI assistant that does not need to know who is asking. It is free to quote.

Press contact

Interviews, review builds, fact checks and anything else: write to [email protected]. Technical questions are usually answered faster by the knowledge base, which is written against the app's source rather than its marketing copy.

Tip

There is no review account to hand out, because there are no accounts. Open nymbot.ai/app and type — a key is generated for you, and the first ten replies a day cost nothing. Ask us if you need credits to try the frontier models or a repository.

Brand assets

Nymbot trademarks

These are the marks owned by 21 Million LLC:

MarkWhat it names
NymbotThe assistant, in all its forms — the web app, the mobile apps, and the assistant inside Nymchat.
NymchatThe messenger Nymbot is also built into.
Not ours

Nostr is an open protocol and nobody's trademark. Bitcoin and Lightning are likewise not ours. The names of the models in the catalog — Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok and the rest — belong to the companies that make them, and the app store names belong to theirs. Nothing on this page grants or restricts anything about them.

Usage guidelines

General

Referring to Nymbot

Spell and capitalize the marks exactly as they are written above. Use them as adjectives, not as nouns or verbs, and never in a way that suggests a generic or descriptive meaning.

Using the wordmark

Use the official wordmark from this page. Do not alter it in any way other than scaling it proportionally.

Clear space

Keep a clear space around the wordmark of at least half its height on every side. Nothing else — text, borders, other logos — belongs inside it.

The Nymbot wordmark inside a dashed boundary, with the clear space on each side marked as half the wordmark's height.
Clear space: half the wordmark's height, on every side.

Minimum size

The wordmark and the icon are built out of small glyphs, and below a certain size they stop being legible and start being noise. Never render the app icon smaller than 48 px, and never render the wordmark narrower than 240 px.

The Nymbot app icon shown at 96, 48 and 24 pixels, with 24 pixels marked as too small.
48 px is the floor for the icon. Below it, the glyphs stop reading.

What not to do

Three crossed-out examples of the Nymbot wordmark: stretched horizontally, rotated, and recolored orange.
Do not stretch, rotate, recolor, outline, add effects to, or otherwise redraw the wordmark.

Using the Nymbot brand in media

You may not use the Nymbot wordmark, icon or app imagery in a film, television program, book, play or other visual media without explicit written permission. To ask, write to [email protected] and we will review the request.

Ordinary journalism, reviews and commentary about Nymbot do not need permission. Use the assets from this page, and do not imply that we endorsed what you wrote.

Colors

The palette has a dark and a light form. The values below are the dark ones; the light-mode equivalents are in the site's stylesheet.

Typography

Nymbot is a terminal by inheritance, and the type follows from that.

The mobile apps bundle Roboto for the interface and Noto Sans as a broad fallback, so glyphs the primary face lacks still render rather than turning into empty boxes. Color emoji are left to the operating system's own font.

Using the Nymbot source code

Nymbot is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0, and we are glad to see people build on it. The license sets the terms: among them, if you run a modified version as a network service, you must offer its source to the people using it.

The license covers the code. It does not grant any right to the trademarks. If you run your own build, make it clear that you own and operate your service and that it is not Nymbot, and do not use the Nymbot name, wordmark or icon as the identity of your service, product or application. You are welcome to state factually that it is based on Nymbot's source.

Legal

The Nymbot Brand Assets are owned by 21 Million LLC and may only be used as set out in these guidelines, or with explicit written permission.

You may not use, or otherwise claim rights in, any Nymbot Brand Asset, including as or as part of any trademark, service mark, company name, trade name, username, social media handle or domain registration. You may not claim rights in any intellectual property that is confusingly similar to the Nymbot Brand Assets, including as or as any part of a trademark or trade dress.

Do not use the Nymbot Brand Assets for anything misleading, defamatory, infringing or illegal, or anything otherwise inconsistent with the Terms of Service.
